So I went to the Job Fair put on by the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce yesterday. I went to help man the booth of Gibraltar Executive Suites, which is where we as Diamond Dwellings have our offices. Honestly I had a great time and kind of wanted to highlight some of the more enjoyable peices of the conference.
Here are some things that I thought were great!
- The Trade show part, where we had our booth, was VERY well put together and had a great variety of new companies, food, and COFFEE to check out. I love coffee. I’m always looking for a good coffee spot to try out.
- The Business After Hours program that the Chamber ran after the show was a lot of fun and was excellently catered. They had a live band on the floor that was jamming out some good jazz tunes and there were hundreds of business professionals all trying to get to know each other and learn more about local Gwinnett business.
- I had never been to the Gwinnett Conference Center and it was Beautiful. Perfect location. We packed the place out.
I personally didn’t have time to really look at the job fair piece in detail but I’m sure that it was well done and very helpful to hundreds of local job seekers. I know that their are PLENTY of great Gwinnett businesses that have a huge need for good workers. Hopefully this job fair was able to provide a solution for employers and job seekers alike. I guess only time will tell and I’m excited to hear the success stories that come from yesterdays Job Fair.
