Hamilton Mill Can Help Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

It’s early to be thinking about the Christmas season – hey, school just started and the first football games are this week. But, it’s never to early to think about helping one of the premier children’s hospitals in the nation and get beautiful Christmas cards as part of the bargain. Hamilton Mill is blessed with so many healthy children and this is just one way we can give back to our community and make sure excellent facilities like CHOA are available when we need them.
The Atlanta area is blessed to have two great children’s hospitals right here in our area that focus on children’s health and welfare. Years ago, we had Egleston Childrens Hospital located in Decatur and also Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital in Atlanta. Recently, both hospitals merged their facilities to create Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. CHOA is a non-profit organization and needs contributions from area residents like those of us in Hamilton Mill and all of Gwinnett County to fund it’s programs and research.
Each year artists from all over Georgia submit Christmas card designs to be considered. Some of the artists are former patients of CHOA. Proceeds from sales of the cards go to Children’s Healthcare various programs with a different focus for each year. This year’s proceeds will benefit the Aflac Cancer Center Research Endowment. Go to http://www.choa.org/default.aspx?id=2124 for more information on how to order the cards.
