Residents of the unincorporated areas of Gwinnett need to stayed tuned to the news about their trash collection. Judge Michael C. Clark granted an injunction sought by two private sanitation companies against the new Gwinnett County waste disposal program through Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful. This new program has been the source of much debate within the county for the past few months and has raised many questions from the residents effected. This court decision leaves the program open for further debate and questions, which will possibly delay or prevent its implementation next month as originally planned.
Today’s court decision is being studied by Gwinnett officials this evening in order to determine the legal alternatives to consider every possible way for citizens to continue receiving solid waste disposal service.
